If Hadley’s proposals go ahead, we could lose our biggest stores including Wilko.
At present, only Iceland appears to want to stay on after the demolition and rebuilding on the site.
Worse still, the scale of the development will lead to months, or even years of disruption. This will make it difficult for our existing high street shops to carry on doing business and simply survive. Certainly, there are good reasons to be concerned for the future of our lively high street shops and what will be left by the time the development is finished.
