Clarion Housing Group

Clarion Housing Group are Hadley’s partners in the planned development, and will be responsible for the small number of social housing units which are part of the plans.

A review of Clarion’s performance as a housing association on the internet reveals numerous complaints, and begs the question: Is this a wise choice of partner for Hadley, bearing in mind their less than good reputation? Are they likely to be competent to run social housing within the scheme?

Clarion have a registered company which has been created for the purpose of the development, with the same registered address as Hadley’s:

Here are some facts about Clarion:

  1. They were recently found to be guilty of ‘severe maladministration’ by the Housing Ombudsman
  2. There have been numerous complaints about the standard of service they provide, as this article by the Social Housing Action Campaign shows.
  3. Trustpilot shows a ‘Marmite’ attitude to Clarion – either love them or hate them.

Heartless , wrong information ‘ aggressive responses in writing , a response to your complaints they Reject every aspect of your exceptional circumstance you present to them. I have been battling with them for 3 years , they also do not read your profile properly. I wish on earth Clarion never took over Circle 33, they had more of a heart and ever so helpful and robust ‘ I do not like my landlord clarion at all, and all the staff , I have come across are heartless and evil, even the directors are so wicked to residents I pray another association bids and takes them over, and shift the managers , there horrible ‘ in my life I have never met a group that’s is so wicked ‘ I’ve never even met my housing officer , they do not care , let’s see what the housing ombudsman do, I have a disability and they reuse to fit a ground floor WC . They refuse and I fell down the stairs 7 times , they do not care.

They are the worst company I have ever dealt with. I have been asking them to fix the gutter as it is falling down (reported as emergency repair) since beginning of September. I have called them lots of times, sent them emails with pictures, and they are still ignoring my problem. We are now in November….
